Helping keep residents safe

Max Huang has been working from Macau during the pandemic.

Many workers in Macau commute about an hour from Zhuhai, China, to get to their jobs across the border. But when a potential closure of the border arose because of COVID-19, JLL assistant property officer Max Huang decided it was best to stay in Macau until the situation improved.

Max manages four residential developments for different clients. In addition to handling the day-to-day tenancy administration work, he has been inspecting the buildings daily to ensure all precautionary measures are in place to safeguard the well-being of residents and colleagues.

“I really enjoy talking to our more senior members of the team every night after work when I get back to our living quarters,” Max says. “I have learned to see things from different angles, and how to stay calm and positive when looking for solutions.”

Max has been away from home for three months. Although he misses home and his family, he says the experience has been rewarding.

“I’ll look forward to getting home, but I’ve really been enjoying this experience.”
